MEMBERSHIP

MISA-SA welcomes new members every week. Our network consists of individual and institutional members that include organisations like the SA National Editors' Forum and Press Ombudsman; non-governmental organisations like Soul City; newspapers like the Daily Dispatch, reporters, freelancers, media academics, community journalists and media advocates.

Membership costs only 50 Rand for individuals and 500 Rand for institutional members. Institutional membership for non-profit organisations (which includes community broadcasters, NGOs etc.) is 250 Rand.

Subscribers to MISA-SA receive many benefits:
* Access to all MISA and MISA-SA communication (including alerts, communiques, job lists, conference and scholarship information).
* You will be eligible to sign up for the MISA Newsroom Exchange Programme.
* Three free copies of MISA's regional magazine, Free Press and the handbook on media freedom in Southern Africa, So This is Democracy, plus a Southern African media directory.
* Access to MISA-SA's e-bulletin, Media Briefs and other value-added services for the South African media sector.
* A membership card for individuals or a certificate for institutional members
* Preferred status on invitations to specific workshops, seminars, programmes and campaigns of relevance to you.
